As we close the book on a historic Summer for EDM, the excitement for what lies ahead in the Fall begins to build. New albums (Zedd, Deadmau5, Calvin Harris) … huge tours (Tiesto, Zedd / Porter Robinson, Wolfgang Gartner, Avicii) .. and too many special events to mention make the upcoming season real easy to get excited for!

As we get ready to say goodbye to the Summer of 2012 (boy does it pain me to say that!), there’s certainly a lot to look back and smile at… The EDM scene in North America has gotten so big, even British royalty are coming across the pond to party here! (I’m looking at you Prince Harry!)

Though it’s hard to let go of Summer, there is much to be excited about as we gear up for the Fall of 2012! Avicii headlining Radio City Music Hall in NYC & Tiesto playing Staples Center in LA as part of their tours… Steve Angello will take over Central Park in NYC and many other exciting events are on tap.

  • With his “Best New Artist” Grammy nomination, Skrillex becomes the first DJ EVER nominated in that category. He tells MTV the 5 total nominations are “beyond my wildest dreams.”

Identity Festival Announces Venue Info for Summer ’11 Tour

The Identity Festival is EDM’s first traveling tour. . It will hit 20 cities from coast to coast starting in mid – August.

Featured artists will include : Kaskade, Avicii, Chuckie, Skrillex, Pete Tong, Steve Aoki, Rusko, Nervo, Crystal Method, Pretty Lights and more . .

Early bird General Admission ticket onsale begins 5/20.

EDM continues to break new ground!

Dance music has been on fire in the USA for quite awhile. . and now for the first time ever – EDM is getting it’s own touring music festival called “IDENTITY“.

Looks like 20 shows all over North America. . with dates / cities TBA later this month.
